These characters just keep getting better and better!

These characters just keep getting better and better! I was extremely excited when these authors announced Tyler’s story especially after the explosive ending in the last duet involving his character! Reluctantly returning to his hometown after getting out of prison, Tyler isn’t too happy with his circumstances but is trying to move on and fight the urge to get revenge. Part of why he wasn’t happy to return home is how he left things the last time he was there with Gemma. Gemma was absolutely in love with Tyler as a teenager, but wasn’t willing to leave her family behind. Finally moved on and engaged to a new man, her feelings bubble back up to the surface once Tyler returns and even more so when she finds he’s working for her father. The back and forth between these two along with the crazy chemistry had me so eager to see what happens between them! And of course the cliffhanger had me re-read it a few times to not only catch it but sit there stunned! I have so many questions not only with this couple but with Gemma’s brother as well and I can’t wait for Tyler and Gemma to be resolved but also hopefully the next duet involve her brother! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Welllllll. Tyler’s story! FINALLY! I loved this. 2nd Chance romance meets intrigue! This story picks up when Tyler is released from prison. He heads home to work for his first love’s family business! I cannot wait for the conclusion to this awesome duet! Highly recommend.

Keeping You Away” is an amazing book and is the perfect beginning to Kennedy Fox’s new Ex-Con Duet Series. I found it captivating, exciting, and definitely a page turner. From the first page I was fascinated by the story of a man who wanted to start over and the woman he allowed to get away many years ago. I was familiar with Tyler’s character and I was eagerly anticipating his story. Tyler is a complex man who proudly served his country and unfortunately, also served time in prison. He is a true friend, a hard worker and is devoted to his sister, Everleigh. Moving back home was his only option, and Tyler hoped he would be accepted back into the community. His biggest fear was seeing Gemma again. She had always been in his heart, but he knew that forgiveness may not be in the cards for him. Being around Gemma every day would test his patience, his courage and his heart. Tyler wondered if Gemma could ever forgive him, and would he be able to accept that she only wanted to be friends. Can Tyler and Gemma forget about the past or will their memories be too strong to ignore?
